Overview
Know your water before you commit to it. This IP67 floating thermometer reads your plunge to within about two degrees Fahrenheit, so you are working from a real number instead of a guess. Guessing is how people either talk themselves out of a cold enough plunge or push into water that is colder than they think.
Floats upright on the surface and stays readable. Built-in timer so you can hold your session to a set duration without reaching for your phone. Rated IP67 waterproof and built for cold water use.
Black housing, clear digital display. Pairs with the gloves and booties in The Frost Kit.

Common questions:
Why use a thermometer for cold plunging?
The number is what makes a practice repeatable. Water that feels the same can be several degrees apart from one morning to the next. A real reading lets you hold your protocol steady and progress on purpose.
What temperature should I plunge at?
Many people start in the low 50s and work down over a few weeks. 45F is a common working temperature for a regular practice. Go at your own pace, and check with your doctor if you have heart or circulation concerns.
Where should it float?
Near where you sit, away from ice blocks and chiller returns. Water right next to ice reads colder than the water around your body.
Does it work in a stock tank, chest freezer, or barrel?
Yes. It floats on any open water surface.
How accurate is it?
Within 1 degree Celsius, about 2 degrees Fahrenheit. That's close enough to hold your protocol steady from one session to the next.
Should I leave it in the tub between sessions?
Take it out and let it dry. It's rated for immersion during your session, not for living in the water full time, and it will last longer that way.
How do I care for it?
Rinse in fresh water after use, dry it off, and store it out of direct sun.
